OUR MISSION
Illness Not Weakness NC is a youth organization dedicated to destigmatizing mental health, raising awareness/advocating for mental health issues with the help of students and others alike. We aim to provide the youth with opportunities to get involved and do work that acknowledges psychology topics in the Charlotte community, as well as beyond.
PROGRAM OFFERINGS
Empowering Young Minds
People can create articles/blogs, art, stories, etc. to be published by INW. This includes:

Creative stories/personal essays

Podcast: members can gather and discuss a specific mental health/psychology topic or talk about different aspects of psychology that interest them. Members can also verbally share their experiences.

A team of volunteers who are dedicated to creating different tools that will be available on our website

Personal stories of mental health journeys are collected and shared on the INW website and Instagram. Anybody can submit (members included)

Our Website has a form submission for people who wish to share their stories

Social media: snippets from these stories will have posts for it (with permission), people who wish to share their stories can create videos talking about their experience

We partner with local or schools groups to implement different services that teach individuals in the community about mental health, psychology, and well-being.
